You can take the Advanced Adventurer course directly after your Open Water Diver license, and it only takes two days to complete. The advanced program includes five adventure dives at a range of Koh Tao diving sites, all designed to increase your confidence and build on your existing scuba skills so you become more comfortable in the water. As an advanced diver you’ll be certified to dive to 30 metres, opening up many more dive site options for you in terms of diving on Koh Tao, and also globally. The Advanced Adventurer certification is a great way to get more dives under your belt while still continuing to learn under the supervision of your instructor. What’s more, each of these adventures counts as the first dive of each corresponding Specialty Diver course, so if you find something you have a particular passion for, you can take the whole specialty right away simply by completing the necessary additional dives and knowledge development sections.
The mandatory deep dive takes you to 30m and then you can choose your remaining four dives. Options include: Night, Wreck, Perfect Buoyancy, Navigation, Coral Ecology, Fish Identification, Computer Diving, Photography (camera rental fee not included), and Search & Recovery.
