Rock Climbing on Koh Tao

Goodtime is proud to be the climbing shop that has opened up Koh Tao’s climbing by establishing the first crags, lead routes and expanding on the bouldering. We have been developing since 2007 and maintain a full range of courses from beginner experienced right up to traditional multi-pitch climbing. We have taken thousands of customers climbing over the years and our courses all based on best practices world wide and are comprehensive, up to date and super fun. Our instructors are all western trained and qualified to ensure you receive the best instruction possible. .

Koh Tao is home to varied landscape of fantastic granite, perfect for discovering and honing your skills on one of our many climbing courses. The options for climbing on Koh Tao range from mountain top complexes of walls and routes with amazing panoramic views, to seaside cliffs with erosion patterns etched into the rocks where you can climb and watch fish swim amongst the corals below. You’ll also find lowland boulder fields amongst coconut plantations and huge isolated rocks deep in the jungle just waiting to be climbed.

On all of our courses, our aim has been to create a full range of routes available to accommodate first time climbers as well as seasoned rock monkeys. We specialize in creating courses that combine a low instructor ratio with completely personalized climbing instruction from beginner top rope up to traditional leading and ropes rescue. We also offer a unique course, the ‘Rock Master’ combining our full list of courses along with additional training in equipment maintenance, group management, teaching assistance, and route finding and even of bolting new routes.

Whether it’s a beginner experience, a lead climbing course or you just want someone to show you the best routes – we are the shop for you. If you need a tailored course to cover specific things like anchors for example, we can also put a program together for you. We are also a founding member of the Koh Tao Climbing Club that offers climbers with their own equipment a place to find partners or join our weekly group climb.
