Incredible, trip of a lifetime. Hosted wonderfully by Bart and Becky, we took a private tour around Koh Tao on a speed boat. We hit the jackpot as the weather hadn't been good enough to get round the whole island for several months, but we had great conditions and did a full lap round. Best of all, there was almost NO other boat trips at the spots we visited. Every stop was idyllic, with gorgeous warm waters, clear for snorkelling. Better yet, we saw a huge turtle AND an adult shark at Shark Bay, which was a huge surprise and left us feeling very blessed. Bart and Becky's shared their expert knowledge and helped us name the fish we saw, told us interesting stories and facts and fed us some genuinely delicious snacks from their cafe. It was one of the most unforgettable trips of my life - don't hesitate to book. These guys know what they're doing ;)
Goodtime offered a nice environment for me to obtain my OWD certification. I enjoyed the course works by SSI. My instructor, Daan Schouwstra, is experienced and detailed. I was lucky to have him. For beginners looking for OWD certification, Goodtime is an excellent choice here at Koh Tao. Please note that the 2.5 days program may not be enough for you to get certified. All trainings were in open water. I had prior OWD certification courses (like Referral Diver) done in cold water, and done 2 discovery dives in Maldives. The 2.5 days certification program is very condensed. I recommend you finished and passed the SSI OWD course works on their App prior to your arrival. Also, be prepare to swim 200 meters and tread 10 minutes in open water. Enjoy your dives! 🤙
We booked a half day private snorkelling trip, 4 adults and our 10 year old, when we booked Charlotte helped explain the whole trip in advance. On the day Liv and Bart were amazing and explained everything in lots of details and helped whilst out in the water explaining what we were seeing. We even saw a sea turtle which made the trip!! Don’t hesitate and book!!!! You won’t regret it! 🤙🏻 🐠
We had a great time out on the boat with Bart and Liv doing the private snorkelling trip. They made us feel so safe with their professionalism and knowledge. Liv got in the water with us which gave us the confidence to venture further from the boat than we would do normally. We were so happy we got to see a turtle. Absolutely, we want you to see fish and turtles, not people while snorkeling. We carefully time our trips to avoid the big boat tours, so you can enjoy a more peaceful experience at Koh Tao’s best snorkeling locations.
Swimming is recommended for snorkeling, but life jackets and flotation devices are provided, and our crew will assist beginners to ensure safety.
