We climbed one morning with Myo. We got to try several nice routes with a suitable level of difficulty. He was safe and good at guiding.

I had great adventures with Goodtime. I went climbing with Myo and really enjoyed it. I also booked a “Try Dive” and Shai and Liv were awesome. They were patient and made me feel safe and supported the whole time. Thanks as well to Kwan at the reception for offering to pick up a delicious local lunch for me.

I had an amazing couple of days learning to lead climb with Goodtime! Tim was a great instructor, taught me a lot, and I had a lot of fun challenging myself and got to see a different side of Koh Toh climbing in the jungle. The Goodtime bar is also super chill with great food and an amazing view. 100% recommend Goodtime for anyone wanting to have an adventure with great people in Koh Toh, especially if you want to either try rock climbing or pick up some new skills!

Brilliant day on the top rope course. Myo is a great instructor, super sound, explained things clearly, and made it fun without any pressure. Learnt loads, lovely people, and the beach setting is divine. Such a chilled out spot. Awesome being up the mountain getting away from the crowds, there's some good climbing up there!

We had the best experience diving with Goodtime Adventures in Koh Tao. From the very first enquiry, Charley was excellent—friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. A lot of the dive sites we really wanted to tick off before leaving Koh Tao were on our list, and both Charley and Mira went out of their way to make that possible for us. We did 5 dives with Mira at Chumphon, 313 wreck & No Name Pinnacle, Tao Tong, Pottery, and a night dive at White Rock. Every dive was fantastic and thoughtfully planned. It was my first ever night dive and Mira made me feel completely comfortable and confident throughout. We had Mira for the whole day, which meant we were able to properly get to know her—she was funny, relaxed, and easy to be around while still being extremely professional and attentive underwater. We loved sharing our dives with someone so passionate about the ocean and the diving industry. We usually dive with PADI centres but have had a few negative experiences recently, so we decided to dive with an SSI crew this time and we’re really glad we did. The overall experience felt personal, well run, and genuinely enjoyable. Couldn’t recommend Goodtime Adventures enough—an amazing team and an unforgettable diving experience. The whole team have certainly earned a beer. 🍺 Thanks again, Jack and Finley 😁

Frequently Asked Questions

Browse through our FAQs for quick answers to your most pressing rock climbing questions. You’ll find information about our courses, equipment, safety measures, and more. Whether you’re new to climbing or an experienced climber, you’ll find helpful information to guide you through your climbing journey.

Starting with a rock climbing adventure is easier than you might think! Begin with a beginner-friendly course, such as the beginner top rope course or abseiling on Koh Tao, where instructors teach the basics in a safe environment. Many first-timers find that outdoor rock climbing on Koh Tao is a great way to experience the sport for the first time.

For outdoor rock climbing, essential gear includes climbing shoes, a harness, a helmet, and chalk for grip. Depending on the type of climbing (sport, traditional, or top roping), additional gear like ropes, belay devices, quickdraws, and cams may be necessary. We provide all the equipment needed during our rock climbing courses (we love Petzl brand) and we have gear for rent when you’re going out for a guided outdoor rock climbing session.

A sport climbing course focuses on climbing routes that are equipped with fixed anchors, making it ideal for those who want to advance their climbing with more security. By contrast, a traditional lead climbing course teaches you how to place your own protection as you climb, which is essential for climbing on routes without any fixed anchors.

Absolutely! Our guided outdoor rock climbing sessions are tailored for all skill levels, including beginners. Our guides will assess your experience and choose routes that match your ability, ensuring a fun and rewarding climbing experience on Koh Tao. If you’re travelling without your climbing gear, don’t worry. We have gear for rent, and if you hire one of our guides we’ll rent you the gear at 50% off.

Rock climbing is an excellent full-body workout that builds strength, improves flexibility, and enhances cardiovascular endurance. It’s also a great mental exercise, improving problem-solving skills, reducing stress, and boosting confidence through achieving goals. To top it all of you also get access to the best views of Koh Tao – what’s not to love?
