Overview
White Rock is one of Koh Tao’s best-known dive sites and is often included on both training and fun diving trips. Located west of Koh Tao, the site consists of several large granite formations surrounded by healthy coral reefs and sandy patches.
The site offers something for every diver. Shallow sections provide excellent conditions for beginners, while deeper areas and swim-throughs create interesting exploration opportunities for more experienced divers.
White Rock is particularly well known for turtle sightings, and divers regularly encounter green turtles feeding among the coral. Schools of fusiliers, barracuda, butterflyfish, and triggerfish are also common.
Its combination of easy conditions, abundant marine life, and varied underwater terrain makes White Rock one of the most frequently visited dive sites around Koh Tao.
