A scenic shallow site near Koh Tao’s northern tip, Lighthouse combines easy, relaxed diving with some of the better visibility on the island, making it a popular choice for both diving and snorkeling.

Lighthouse takes its name from the navigational lighthouse positioned on the headland above the dive site, marking the northern reaches of Koh Tao. The underwater terrain is a mix of granite boulders and coral growth, sitting in generally shallow water that makes for relaxed, easy diving.
The site’s position tends to benefit from good visibility, particularly compared to some of the more sheltered bays where finer sediment can reduce clarity. This makes Lighthouse a popular choice when conditions allow, both for the diving itself and for the views back toward the island’s coastline.
Marine life is typical of Koh Tao’s shallow reef sites — a healthy mix of reef fish, the occasional ray on the sandy patches, and good coral coverage on the rockier sections. The combination of shallow depth, decent visibility, and relaxed pace makes Lighthouse a reliable choice for newer divers, snorkelers, and anyone looking for an easy, enjoyable dive.
